New York, June 05 2010: The Women’s Network for a Sustainable Future (WNSF), a US-based non-profit organization that promotes the woman’s voice in the business responsibility and sustainability discourse, today announced that Executive Director and Co-Founder, Dr. Ann Goodman, was the recipient of the University of Chicago’s Public Service Award.

The University of Chicago’s Public Service Award recognizes alumni for their contributions to making the world a better place and for inspiring others to service.

On June 5, 2010, Goodman appeared with two Nobel Prize winners, a two-time Nobel nominee and 13 other distinguished professionals, all presented with awards in recognition of their work. After the event, Goodman and fellow awardees were featured speakers on a panel highlighting economic, social, and environmental sustainability.

The Public Service Award honors a special combination of virtues - service above self, creativity, generosity-and it leads to very great things indeed,” said Herbert L. Caplan, Member, Alumni Board of Governors. “We honor Ann Goodman for pioneering global efforts on behalf of women in business, corporate responsibility and sustainable development and for her work with governments and NGOs in making a wide and lasting impact in these enterprises.
